I earned my MS in Exercise Science: Human Performance from Liberty University. I also earned certificates from CrossFit (CF-L1), Precision Nutrition (PN-1), USA-W, and BioForce Certified Conditioning Course.
Over the course of my remarkable 30-year career in the United States Marine Corps, I have had the privilege to serve in the infantry, where physical fitness and nutrition played an integral role in our success. My journey through the ranks has not only taught me the value of discipline and determination but has also shaped my understanding of the profound connection between physical performance and optimal nutrition.
As an infantryman, I experienced firsthand the rigorous demands placed upon our bodies and minds. Endurance, strength, agility, and mental resilience were crucial to accomplishing our missions. We operated in harsh and unforgiving environments, often carrying heavy loads, enduring long marches, and engaging in intense combat training. These challenges compelled me to delve deep into the realms of fitness and nutrition, seeking ways to maximize my physical abilities and enhance our overall well-being.
Through countless training exercises, deployments, and combat scenarios, I witnessed the transformative effects of a comprehensive approach to fitness and nutrition. Our performance on the battlefield was directly influenced by our physical preparedness and the fuel we provided our bodies. It became abundantly clear that a balanced diet and tailored exercise regimens were vital to maintaining peak performance, reducing injuries, and optimizing recovery.
I eagerly sought opportunities to expand my knowledge and expertise in fitness and nutrition, both within and outside of the military. I attended college on human performance and nutrition, pursued certifications, attended specialized courses, and connected with professionals in the field, constantly seeking to enhance my understanding of how proper nutrition could complement rigorous training routines.
My passion for fitness and nutrition has extended beyond my military career, as I transitioned into civilian life. I have dedicated myself to helping others unlock their potential, guiding them towards achieving their fitness goals, and empowering them with the knowledge and tools necessary to lead healthy, fulfilling lives.
